An extraordinary high-altitude trekking expedition connecting the breathtaking valleys of Kashmir with the majestic landscapes of Astore. Traverse two spectacular mountain passes, explore untouched alpine lakes, camp beneath the stars, and experience one of Pakistan’s most rewarding wilderness adventures.
📅 Expedition Itinerary
Day 1 – Islamabad → Sharda → Marnat Top
- Departure from Islamabad at 11:00 PM
- Participants from other cities are requested to arrive before departure.
- Breakfast stop at Ath Muqam or Keran
- Arrive in Sharda
- Transfer to 4×4 jeeps for the journey to Phulawai
- Continue towards Marnat Top
- Overnight camping
Day 2 – Marnat Village to Phela Sar
- Breakfast at campsite
- Drive to Marnat Village
- Begin the trek through Phulawai Village
- Walk through dense forests and beautiful alpine scenery
- Follow crystal-clear mountain streams
- Reach Masjid Wali Behak (Phela Sar)
- Trekking Time: 7–8 Hours
- Overnight camping
Day 3 – Phela Sar to Domail
- Early breakfast
- Trek alongside scenic mountain streams with gradual ascent
- Reach Domail
- Trekking Time: 5 Hours
After setting up camp:
- Short rest
- Trek to the stunning Domail Lake
- Return to campsite
- Overnight camping
Day 4 – Riat Pass Crossing (4,250m)
The most exciting day of the expedition
- Wake-up call at 5:00 AM
- Early breakfast
- Trek towards Riat Pass (4,250 meters)
- Cross the magnificent pass
- Explore:
- Baloor Kasi Lake
- Safa Lake
- Shakar Ghar Lake
- Marwa Lake
- Trekking Time: 5–6 Hours
- Overnight camping near Riat Pass Base Camp
Day 5 – Gishat Pass Trek
- Wake-up call at 5:00 AM
- Breakfast
- Trek towards the spectacular Gishat Pass
- Descend into the beautiful Gishat Meadows
- Relax beside pristine mountain streams
- Optional trout fishing (season permitting)
- Trekking Time: 7 Hours
- Overnight camping
Day 6 – Gishat → Rattu → Astore
- Trek to Gishat Village
- Board jeeps towards Rattu and Astore
- Scenic drive with exploration and photography stops
- Arrive in Astore
- Overnight stay
Day 7 – Astore → Islamabad
- Early breakfast
- Departure for Islamabad
